The Most Beautiful Hiking Trails Around the Oosterschelde

It’s a fact that Zeeland is a great place for hiking! Walk along the dikes with stunning views of the vast waters, stroll through the polders and past green meadows, or visit various coastal towns like Yerseke and Goes as you hike. During a walking vacation in Zeeland, you’re 100% guaranteed to make new discoveries!

    Walking route village and polder | 4 km

    This walk takes you through the authentic Dorpsstraat, past the vliedberg and St. Maartenskerk and you pass a real former "meestoof". Tip: On Saturday afternoon you can often visit the mills!

    Strolling along the waterfront | 3 km

    This is a varied walk along the waterfront and through the small forest. On a clear day, you will have a beautiful view of the Zeeland Bridge. You may be lucky and be able to pick up oysters, true salty Zeeland bliss!

    Banjer trail | 6.5 km

    A lovely walk with the dog along the water. The dog is allowed (outside the high season) to swim at the beach. You will walk a nice stretch along the Canal through Zuid-Beveland, on the east side of Wemeldinge.

    Round Wemeldinge | 9.5 km

    Get a breath of fresh air while walking along the dikes and overlooking the polders on one side and the Oosterschelde on the other. In the center of Wemeldinge you can go for a delicious fresh fish or a drink!

The layout of the cottages is really nice, with each one having its own little garden. No fences, but plenty of privacy thanks to the greenery! A very cozy cottage and a great location in Zeeland. Bike and hiking trails start nearby. And the center of Wemeldinge has a supermarket and some great little restaurants!
